What should I do if I can’t renew my subscription via the HOOQ app on my iOS device?

Hit a roadblock while trying to purchase a plan to continue getting HOOQ’d? No worries, there’s a way around it. :)
 
Please make sure that In-App Purchases are not restricted and you’ve got your Apple ID payment details updated on your iOS device, and this will help you make a successful payment when you select a plan in the HOOQ app.
 
If you’re getting a message that in-app purchases are not allowed, you’ll need to enable In-App Purchases. Here’s how:
1. From your home screen, open the Settings app.
2. Select General.
3. Look for Restrictions. If it’s turned off, just leave it disabled. On the other hand, if it’s enabled, make sure that you disable the restriction for in-app purchases, by following these steps:
  • Tap on Restrictions.
  • Enter your Restrictions Passcode as prompted.
  • To allow purchases, make sure that the switches beside “iTunes Store” and “In-App Purchases” are both toggled to the right.
 
If you’re able to select a plan, but the payment is not pushing through, make sure that your Apple ID payment details are updated by following these steps:
1. From your home screen, open the Settings app.
2. Select iTunes & App Store.
3. Tap your Apple ID, then tap View Apple ID. If prompted, sign in to the iTunes Store by entering the password for your Apple ID.
4. Tap Payment Information.
5. Select the type of payment (type of card) you want to use.
6. Make sure that you fill out all the info related to your payment type (card number, security code, expiration date, billing address, and mobile number).
7. Tap Done.
 
After completing the steps above, restart your iOS device and you should be able to renew your HOOQ subscription.
