(India) How to sign up for a paid subscription using your computer?

We have recently updated our look! We are working diligently to make our website available to other web browsers but, for now, please use the latest version of Google Chrome, Firefox, or Opera to get the most out of HOOQ.

Available payment methods:
 
  • Credit card (auto-renews, we accept those bearing Visa and/or MasterCard logos)
  • Debit card (doesn’t auto-renew, we accept those bearing Visa and/or MasterCard logos)
  • Net banking (doesn’t auto-renew)
  • PayTM (auto-renews)
  • Ola Money (auto-renews)
  • Amazon Pay (auto-renews)
  • Google Play (auto-renews) - available only on Android
  • Carrier Billing - Idea and Vodafone (doesn’t auto-renew)
  • Airtel Xstream
  • ACT Fibernet
  • Access via Hotstar or Micromax
  • Amazon Fire TV Stick in-app purchase (one-time or auto-renews)

Ready to subscribe? Here's how:
 
  1. Make sure you're connected to the internet, and then open a supported web browser. 
  2. Go to our https://www.hooq.tv website.
  3. Click any of our "Sign up" button.
    • If you already have an account, log in first then proceed to step 6.
  4. Sign up using your mobile number or;
    • Enter your mobile number, then create a password.
    • Select option to receive notifications from HOOQ.
    • Click "Next”.
  5. Sign up using your email address.
    • Click "Email”.
    • Enter your email address, then create a password.
    • Select option to receive notifications from HOOQ.
    • Click "Next”.
  6. Click the 3 horizontal lines on the upper right corner, then choose "Pricing”.
  7. Scroll down to view all the plans or prices (including benefits and payment options).
  8. Choose the package that you prefer, then select your payment method.
    • If this is your first time to subscribe, you can get a 90-day subscription for INR 89 as long as you're willing to set up your payment details upfront. Just choose a recurring payment method that offers the 90-day promo (PayTM, Ola Money, Amazon Pay or Credit Card).
  9. Enter your payment details, then tap “Make Payment”.
  10. Follow the prompts until you get a confirmation that your payment is successful.



You may simply just change your payment method via the HOOQ app (Android or iOS).

  • Via Hotstar: Visit the Hotstar website for info on the Hotstar App or send them an e-mail at hello@hotstar.com.
  • Via Micromax: Subscribe through the HOOQ content notification that will be sent to your Micromax mobile. You can contact Micromax for more info.
  • Via Amazon Pay: Subscribe to a 90-day subscription for INR89 via the Amazon Pay app. Simply go the section, “Exciting Offers on Amazon Pay Partners”, select “HOOQ subscription”, and follow the prompts to process your payment and purchase.
 


You'll need to process the payment using an Android device (click here for the steps).
 


  1. Link your account to your Amazon Fire TV Stick.
  2. Once you’re on the Discover page, select the “Me” tab.
  3. Choose “Subscription”, then “Subscribe Now”.
  4. Choose the package that you prefer, then select “Yes, I want to subscribe”.
  5. Payment will be made through your Amazon Pay account. Choose your preferred payment method, then select “Done”.
  6. Check the Subscription and Transaction History for confirmation of your purchase.




Note: If you're currently subscribed to a partner plan, you won't be able to purchase another partner plan unless you use a different mobile number/email to sign up a new account.
