How do I enable/disable the offline mode? (Apple iOS devices)

If you've got some downloaded video/s that you'd like to watch offline, knowing how to enable and disable offline mode is a must! Check out the steps below to learn how:

1. Log in to your HOOQ account. Click here for the steps.
2. Press the Home button on your device to get back to the home screen.
3. Enable offline mode:
  • Disable the internet connection (either Wi-Fi or mobile data) on your iOS device.
    • ​To disable your Wi-Fi connection: Go to Settings > Wi-Fi > Toggle the switch beside Wi-Fi to turn it off.
    • To disable your mobile data connection: Go to Settings > Mobile Data > Toggle the switch beside Mobile Data to turn it off. 
  • Open your HOOQ app again.
  • You’ll get a pop-up message, telling you that you’re currently offline.
  • Tap the “Use offline mode” button to enable offline mode. The switch at the top right corner of your screen is toggled to the right.
  • You'll be routed to the Downloads page. You can start watching your videos in offline mode. :)
 4. Once you've finished watching your downloaded videos in offline mode and want to stream videos or download new videos, you'll need to disable offline mode:
  • You'll have to connect your device to the internet again (either via Wi-Fi or mobile data).
    • To turn on your Wi-Fi connection: Go to Settings > Wi-Fi > Toggle the switch beside Wi-Fi to turn it back on.
    • To enable your mobile data connection: Go to Settings > Mobile Data > Toggle the switch beside Mobile Data to turn it back on. 
  • Go back to the HOOQ app, then tap on the toggle switch on the upper-right corner of your screen.
  • Select "Okay" to exit the offline mode.
