How do I download videos? (Apple iOS devices)

Do you prefer to download videos on your iOS device and then watch it at a later time? You came to the right place! Check out the easy-peasy steps below to learn how you can do that using the HOOQ app. :)
 
  1. Log in to your HOOQ account.
  2. Tap the search icon (magnifying glass) at the top right corner of your screen.
  3. Type the title of the movie or TV series that you wish to download.
    • If the movie or TV show that you’re looking for appears on the results page, tap on the title.
    • If the movie/TV show that you’re searching for does not appear in the results or you did not see a matching result, it means that we still don’t have that title in our catalogue. Click here for information on how to request for new content.
  4. For movies: Just hit “Download” on the movie info page.
  5. For TV shows: Select the season (if there’s more than 1 season available), then tap the download icon (downward arrow icon) beside the episode you want to download.
 
 
 
 
The video will be added to the queue accordingly if you’re downloading more than one video.
 
Notes:

 
  • You can only download videos on smart phones and tablets through the HOOQ app.
  • The download has to be completed before the video can be played from My Library (in the HOOQ app) or from the Downloads (in the new HOOQ app).
  • You can download up to ten (10) videos at any one time across all devices per HOOQ account. (i.e. You may download 5 videos on your phone and 5 videos on your tablet using the same HOOQ account).
  • You can only download a Disney TV series episode twice. If you download the same episode for the 3rd time, you will receive a message that you have reached the download limit for the video and can just watch the video by streaming.
  • Downloaded videos are non-transferable, and may only be accessed using the device where the video was downloaded.
  • Downloaded videos can't be saved on external storage devices such as SD card.
  • You cannot stream while downloading on the same device.
  • Some videos aren't downloadable. Availability of download option depends on what the filmmakers and TV show creators have agreed to.
  • Remember to enable online mode 72 hours after you've finished downloading to refresh content rights.
