How do I renew my HOOQ subscription or update my payment method? (Apple iOS devices)

If you signed up using your credit card, your subscription will auto-renew at the end of the free trial period. This means your credit card will be charged with the regular subscription fee. This is set to apply each month (30-day subscription).

If you signed up for the free trial without entering your credit card details or if you want to change your payment method, please check out the steps below to learn what you should do to continue getting HOOQ'd. 

You can continue your HOOQ subscription via iTunes billing:
  1. Make sure you're connected to the internet and then open the HOOQ app. 
  2. Log in to your HOOQ account. Click here for the steps.
  3. Once you’re on the Discover page, tap on the Me icon at the upper right corner of your screen.
  4. Select "Subscription", then tap "Subscribe now".
  5. Scroll down to view all the plans or prices (including benefits), then choose the package that you prefer.
    • You may upgrade your plan via iTunes billing (e.g. change from 1 month to 1 year), but cannot downgrade.
  6. Make sure that your iTunes credentials/payment details are entered, then tap “Confirm”.
    • This will be charged towards the payment method you set up for your Apple ID/iTunes account.
  7. Follow the prompts until you get a confirmation that your payment is successful.

If you prefer to renew using a different payment method (not via iTunes billing or not directly through a partner Telco), you'll need to use either an Android device or a supported browser on your computer to process your payment. You'll see your country of registration below and please click on the device you'll be using to learn how you can renew your subscription through other payment methods:
If you signed up with HOOQ via ACT Broadband though, please contact ACT customer care through their Customer Care channels below:
If you signed up to HOOQ via our partner telcos, you may connect with them directly as the renewal process varies, depending on the subscription package you availed.

Note: If you’re already on a recurring subscription, you may not be able to directly change the payment method. You must cancel your subscription first before changing your payment method.
