How to restart the HOOQ app (Smart TV)

Restarting the HOOQ app on your Smart TV will help fix minor issues you're encountering. The steps may vary depending on the brand of your Smart TV/TV box, so here’s a general guide for you. :)


  1. From your Android TV's home screen, select Settings.
  2. Under the Settings menu, select Apps
  3. Under Downloaded apps, choose HOOQ.
  4. Scroll down and select Force stop, then choose OK.

Once you're done, please restart your Android TV by turning it on and off using the remote that came with it. Then open the HOOQ app again and enjoy watching! :)
 

  1. Select EXIT button on the remote. 
  2. Once the app is exited and then you select the app again, it will restart.
 

  1. Long press on the BACK button on the remote.
  2. Once the app is exited and then you select the app again, it will restart.
 

  1. Double press the TV/Home button.
  2. Swipe left or right to find HOOQ, then swipe up to close the app.

Once you're done, please restart your Apple TV from Settings, using your remote, or by unplugging it from power. Then open the HOOQ app again and enjoy watching! :)
 

  1. From your Xiaomi TV's home screen, select Settings.
  2. Under the Settings menu, select Additional Settings then Apps
  3. Under Downloaded apps, choose HOOQ.
  4. Scroll down and select Force stop, then choose OK.

Once you're done, please restart your Xiaomi TV by turning it on and off using the remote that came with it. Then open the HOOQ app again and enjoy watching! :)
 

  1. From the home screen, select “Settings“.
  2. Select “Applications”, then “Manage Installed Applications”.
  3. Look for the “HOOQ” app, then select it.
  4. Select “Force stop”, then choose OK.

Once you're done, please restart your TV by turning it on and off using the remote that came with it. Then open the HOOQ app again and enjoy watching! :)
