How to clear your browser's cache and cookies? (Windows and Mac)

Are you having issues while watching movies and/or TV shows on HOOQ using your computer browser? Give clearing cache and cookies in your browser a try to free up some memory on your computer and get it refreshed, not just for HOOQ, but for everything that you try to access on your browser.

By the way, we have recently updated our look! We are working diligently to make our website available to other web browsers but, for now, please use the latest version of Google Chrome, 
Firefox, or Opera to get the most out of HOOQ.

Windows
 
Browser How to clear cache and cookies
Chrome
  1. Open Chrome.
  2. Click the Settings (three-dotted) button on the top-right corner.
  3. Select More tools > Clear browsing data.
  4. Choose “the beginning of time” option from the drop-down.
  5. Select Cookies and other site and plugin data and Cached images and files options.
  6. Click the Clear browsing data button.
Firefox
  1. Open Firefox.
  2. Click the Settings button on the top-right corner.
  3. Click on Options > Privacy & Security.
  4. Under History, click the “clear your recent history” link.
  5. Select “Everything” from the drop-down menu.
  6. Under Details, check only Cookies and Cache.
  7. Click the Clear now button.
Opera
  1. Open Opera.
  2. Click the Menu button on the top-left corner.
  3. Click on Settings > Privacy & security.
  4. Under Privacy, click the Clear browsing data button.
  5. Under Clear browsing data, select “the beginning of time” option from the drop-down.
  6. Select Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files options.
  7. Click the Clear browsing data button.
 
MAC

  1. Open Chrome.
  2. Click the menu (or burger) icon in the top right corner.
  3. Select More Tools > Clear Browsing Data.
  4. Choose “the beginning of time” option from the drop-down menu.
  5. Select Cached images and files and Cookies and other site and plugin data.
  6. Click Clear Browsing Data.
Firefox
  1. Open Firefox.
  2. Click on Settings > Options.
  3. Select the Privacy & Security tab.
  4. In the Cookies and Site Data section, click Clear Data.
Opera
  1. Open Opera.
  2. Click on Opera > Clear Browsing Data.
  3. Choose “the beginning of time” option from the drop-down menu.
  4. Select Cached images and files and Cookies and other site data.
  5. Click Clear Browsing Data.
 
 
Don’t forget to restart your PC or Mac. Doing so is like a breath of fresh air for your computer. :)

Oh, and also, once you've done this, you have to verify again the email address you've used to sign up because the previous information sent to the system was wiped when you cleared your browsing data. Click this link if you need a refresher on how to log in.
