How do I sign up for a paid subscription in the Philippines? (Apple iOS devices)

Getting HOOQ’d to a paid subscription is easy as pie. :)
 
If you're using an iOS device, you can only subscribe via iTunes Billing.

A. To pay via iTunes billing (using your Apple ID):
1. Make sure you're connected to the internet, and then open the HOOQ app. 
2. Log in to your HOOQ account. Click here for the steps.
3. Once you’re on the Discover page, tap on the Me icon (a circle with a person icon inside) at the bottom right corner of your screen.
4. Select "Subscription".
5. Tap on "Subscribe now".
6. You’ll be routed to the Select Plan page. Scroll to the right to view the available lengths of subscription (1 Month, 3 Months, 6 Months, and 1 Year).
7. Tap "Select Plan" once you’ve decided which plan you want to pay for.
  • Note: It will be charged towards the payment method you set up for your Apple ID/iTunes account.
8. Enter the password for your Apple ID as prompted.
9. Confirm your subscription by selecting "Continue".
  • NOTE: Your subscription will auto-renew unless you turn off automatic renewal via the Settings on your iOS device at least one day before your subscription period ends.
10. Select "OK" to agree to the subscription terms and complete the payment transaction.
 
B. If you have a HOOQ subscription via Globe Prepaid or Postpaid and you already have an activation code:
1. Make sure you're connected to the internet, and then open the HOOQ app. 
2. Log in to your HOOQ account. Click here for the steps.
3. Once you’re on the Discover page, tap on
the Me icon (a circle with a person icon inside) at the bottom right corner of your screen.
4. Select "Subscription".
5. Enter your activation code (6 alphanumeric characters or 6 letters) in the Redeem Voucher Codes box.
6. Tap on "Submit".
 
C. If HOOQ is already a part of your Globe plan (BROADBAND):
You should have received your account credentials via SMS or the email address you enrolled when you signed up for your Globe Broadband Plan. The default password is “password1” (without quotation marks). All you need to do is log in to your HOOQ account. Here’s how:

1. Open the HOOQ app.
2. Tap on "Log in", and then enter your username/email address in the designated field.
3. Tap on "Done". If this is the first time you’re signing in to the new HOOQ app, you can either validate your email or enter your password:
  • Validate your email: You’ll be asked to validate your email. On your device, please access your email and then look for the email verification from HOOQ in your inbox and/or spam/junk mail. Tap the “Confirm Email” button. Go back to the new HOOQ app, and tap “I have verified”.
  • Enter your password: Tap on “Enter Password”, then key in your password as prompted. Select OK.
4. You'll get routed to the Discover page. You can start watching! :)
  • NOTE: The length of your HOOQ subscription and whether or not it will automatically renew every month depends on the actual Globe plan and/or HOOQ promo that you subscribed to.

D. Not yet subscribed to a HOOQ promo through Globe and don’t have an activation code yet? 
  1. For mobile and nomadic customers: You can register to HOOQ by texting HOOQ149, HOOQ299 or HOOQ499 to 8080, or dial *143# and choose Surfing then HOOQ.
  2. For Broadband/At Home customers: You can register by calling the Globe hotline at 730-1000.
 
E. If you prefer to pay for HOOQ via credit or debit card, you'll need to process your payment either through our HOOQ website on a computer or via the HOOQ app on an Android device.
